When I went to bed last night, Kipp and his brother, Benn, were still working on our bathroom. This morning I awoke to a tiled floor! They have already done all the plumbing, electrical, durock and sheetrock so there is great progress being made. I can finally envision what the final product will look like--well, pretty much! I'm really thankful for a handy husband and a willing brother-in-law that have put in many late hours on this project. Also, I'm thankful for a great sister-in-law that has spent many evenings at home without her husband. Thanks, Stacy! I'll keep ya posted on the rest of the project.

Demolition and Reconstruction
Today began the demolition of our bathroom. (We have two upstairs so it's not needed for daily use, just nice to have!) Anyway, today we dropped the kids off with family and friends and headed to the store to do some final planning and some purchasing for the bathroom remodel. Initially, we wanted to turn it into the master suite, but with the knowledge that we will have four teenage girls in a while down the road we decided that we may need two full baths to accommodate them and us! So we have decided to keep it open to everyone. OK, seriously, my husband just asked about keeping it a master suite! I'M SERIOUS!!! I guess we are still a little unsure of what's going to happen, but this one thing I know--it's gonna be great! The bathroom had some beautiful wallpaper with pink flowers and minty green-blue stripes, a peachy-pink tub with matching tile and of course the gorgeous mint green baseboard. Have you gotten the picture that this bathroom was a gem from the 80s? I took some pictures so I can post them later, but for now you'll have to just believe that it was beautiful--you have caught my sarcasm, haven't you? I can't wait for my new bathroom! While I don't do very well in a reconstruction mess, I will bear with it until it's done because it's gonna be so great! I'm so glad I married a handy man who can turn the old nastiness into the what will be fantastic. Stay posted for updates.
