We got a call Friday from our Dr. office saying that they wanted us to see the orthopedic surgeon instead of getting her cast on. However, we took her in to see our regular Dr. because she had been complaining about her heel hurting and we wanted to get that checked out before Monday. So when we were in the office the Dr. showed us her x-rays and explained why the concern for us to see the surgeon.
They are a little concerned that the break has gone all the way to her growth plate which would require more than just a cast. But they need to do some more x-rays and be sure of it first. So today we will go in and see what they have to say.
Please keep praying for Kate. She has figured out how to get around without her crutches and she's definitely a mover! She kind of looks like a 3-legged crab! But we know that 6-8 weeks in a cast will be difficult for her. We praise the Lord for her sweet spirit though!

When Dawson broke his leg we prayed he wouldn't need surgery, but when he did, we realized it was actually a blessing as he DIDN'T need a cast (it would have been a spica-- much more invasive). We are praying for Kate's comfort and the doctor's wisdom. :) And for your comfort. And delivery. You know half our prayer-time is Malmanger related these days? :) Love ya!
