This year camp did not have a float in the city parade and I was looking forward to sitting as a whole family to watch the parade. But, a man asked Kipp if our family would walk for the Pregnancy Help Center float and he said sure. I was a bit disappointed, but I knew that everything would be fine. Then I thought that maybe it would be better than sitting because the babies would ride better than sit, right? The only problem was that I saw rain out of church's windows and hoped that it would be gone by parade time. We hurried home, ate lunch and tried to get the babies to take a quick nap. Everything was going perfectly until we got to the float and the rain kept coming. We dried the seats and got on, but by this point it was pouring! We tried to use our umbrellas, but they overlapped and probably just made things worse! By the time we got to the start of the parade route, we looked like wet rats. The babies thought everything was great--they loved the rain, they loved the umbrellas, they loved all the people along the route, they loved riding in their stroller, too. We passed out hundreds of freezee pops and some candy. The kids had a fun time handing it out too and waving to all the people. I'm so glad that we were able to help out with the Pregnancy Help Center float this year. This is what life is about--making memories with my family.
