I set off on vacation for a week without my husband. I left this morning with the kids to see my family. He has to stay home and work--someone's got to!
It was a wet ride down. First, I'm not really one who loves to drive so when it started raining I was less than thrilled. Then the pitter-patter turned to a heavy downpour and I could barely see the car in front of me. I just kept praying that the Lord would keep us safe and He did. I was so glad to make it to Madison where I got to meet up with some old friends and their family. Eventually we made it to Little Amerrika, an amusement park for little kids. The kids had so much fun on all the rides from the tilt-a-whirl to the ferris wheel to the terrifying bullet with their cousin. Even the babies were amused just to walk around and look at everything. I'm so thankful for a wonderful first day of my single parent week!
But, I miss my husband!
