The Milwaukee Zoo

For the past few Christmases my parents have bought zoo passes for each family. It is a wonderful gift that cuts down on the toys at home and increases time together as a family. So today my siblings, sisters-in-law, and all the kids went with Grammy and Papa to the Milwaukee Zoo. It was terribly hot and humid, but it is always so much fun to see the cousins running to the animals and talking about them and learning new things about the animals that God has made for us to see. My oldest brother and his family had to leave mid way through the day so they could travel home. It's always sad to see the cousins say good-bye because we only get to see everyone about twice a year. My niece was crying as she left and Kate and Ella were sad to see her leave. They absolutely love to play with her. After they left we could see storm clouds rolling in and sure enough, the skies opened and the rain came pouring down. We were able to take shelter in one of the zoo restaurants for about 45 minutes. I have never been more thankful for Teddy Grahams and juice boxes! The twins love animals and they did a great job holding my hands so they could get some exercise and move around. I'm thankful for that too! It's a lot of work to get 8 adults and 10 kids (ages 9 and under) to the zoo but the memories are so worth it.

I don't have any pictures to post because I didn't take any--I have enough to keep track of! But don't worry, Papa got plenty so maybe I'll post some later!
